The high point of every Mass is the consecration of the gifts of bread and wine into the Body and Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord in Heaven. While the bread and wine are provided by the Church, and the people bringing up the altar gifts are symbolic of all the people of the parish, the Church does allow for the presentation of the altar gifts as a special memorial for a loved one or special intention. At St. Patrick Church, the memorials are in effect for one week and are available for a small donation. (See below for details.)
